Hi, I am Nick Carr (CBT Therapist).
All people at one time or another in life experience low mood & anxiety in some form or another.
Although we mostly just try to ‘carry on regardless’, this is not always possible.
If you find that your problems become stuck in endless vicious cycles and you cannot see a way to change it and move forward, you may need a bit of help.
Cognitive Therapy is a very individual and effective therapy.
In sessions, we work together and take time to look at how thoughts and beliefs are combined and influenced by strong upsetting emotions.
Each session we will build our understanding and find lasting practical solutions.
Often, to make change, it is necessary to become able to tolerate stronger feelings and emotions.
To help with this I use a mindful awareness approach for clients to learn how to encounter these experiences and not be ruled by them.
Based in a 250 year old cottage, my therapy room is a comfortable space which offers clients a place to relax and discuss their needs in private
